I met Mike (more commonly known as Diz) a while back when I was still fairly new to the area. He was kind enough to show me around, show me some of the more modern touches in Oxford. One of the nicest people I’ve been fortunate enough to meet in the area.
When I think of his work, there are three things that come to mind. Firstly, and possibly the most prominent, is street photography. It’s just something he seems really good at. Secondly, old churches. Especially the stained glass. Thirdly, abstract stuff pulled from architecture or plant life. He has some great series going, ranging from the Oxfordshire Gardens project (how he’s managed to spot that many gardens with mattresses and shopping trolleys in I’ll never know), to his Botanical Forms & Textures.
