
These guys are never easy to work with. But they are good fun…

There are two things I’d like to note on these shots:
- I was happy enough with leaving the flash on the camera for most of the shots (I had another flash set up which you can see acted as key in a few, but it wasn’t a big deal).
- I split toned the shadows green and highlights the opposite way (red).
Both of those were with the same thought process. These guys seem to have an old horror B-Movie feeling about them. So “cheap” on camera lighting seems like a fitting way to emulate those low budget movies, and the green and red work well to give it that slight horror feel. I’m really liking the way split toning can easily help you achieve a particular “feel” to the shots. It’s not something I play with very often with live stuff.
